ABOUT US
Our Founders were all brought together by gin and a desire to represent the underrepresented in life. We are a black/minority owned spirits company and proud to represent the community.
Black and ethnic minority people have very few brands that represent them and also taste good.
Gin, in general, has to be modified to mask the flavor which is why gin and tonic, gin and juice are synonymous with gin, rather than gin on the rocks or neat like whisky, cognac or brandy.
It was our goal to produce a gin that could stand up on its own and not have to have 6 modifiers or mixers to actually taste good.
The ideology of the gin also paired with our upbringing in communities where the neighbourhood supported each other and people within the neighbourhood had lasting impact on us. The Old G’s in the neighbourhood helped and took the youth under their wings.
It took 2 years to produce the perfect flavor, taste and balance needed with many community “experts” blind tastings, distillers and family & friends
We ain’t owned by the monarchy or stuffy rich people, the only kings and queens that own the old g are the kings and queens of our communities and neighbourhoods.

The spirit of The Old G is both conceptual and physical
The conceptual, is all about the ideals and values that The Old G stands for. It's about the wise, experienced, and storied folks who are the backbone of the community.
It's about listening to advice, sharing stories, connecting with people, celebrating, commiserating, laughing, crying, and remembering.
The physical, is the bottle, the liquid, and the moments you create when you share a sip with your community.

Our spirit is created using Old School techniques
Our spirit is created using Old School techniques
We make it using old school techniques, like using a column still to layer our botanicals in just the right order and quantity.
We heat the spirit to its boiling point and the vapor passes through the botanicals, taking on all their flavors.
Then we cool the vapor and it turns back into liquid, to become The Old G.
